Show FOUR MILES OF ROAD IS CHANGED Because the county commissioner i of Box Elder county neglected to consider con-sider a state law, regarding highways, the Ogden Rapid Transit company must change four miles of Its lnter-urban lnter-urban track on tho Brlgham City route. The work of this change Is now In progress, but owing to the pmoothness of the road the tracks will be changed with comparatively little loss of time and at a cost of not more than one thousand dollars The general work on tho Ogden and Brlgham City line Is progressing rapidly. rap-idly. Track is now being laid about three and a half miles from tho springs and the line gang started today to-day to put In the poles for the stringing string-ing of th wires. Altogether one hundred hund-red men aro now working and It Is expected that electric cars will bo running between this city and Brlgham Brlg-ham by October 1. It is expected that two largo ln-terurban ln-terurban cars for the line will arrive from the east this week as they already al-ready have been shipped from the factory. The trouble In Box Elder county Is due to the overlooking of a state law which requires that all poles must be forty-four feet from the center of the road. This provision was not considered con-sidered until four miles of track and poles were placed. It Is alleged that the mistake was due to the negligence negli-gence of the Box Elder commissioners. commission-ers. Luckily the gTade is light at the point where the track must be changed, making the work of replacing replac-ing it much easier. |
