RECEIVE A BENEFIT Of the many projects for the amelioration amel-ioration of the Ills and suffering of humanltv, none appeals more strongly than tbat which relates directly to the care and protection of negleited and abused children of tender years The Children's Aid society of Ogden City and Weber county Is an organization organ-ization which exists for the purpose ns stated In its articles of incorporation, incorpora-tion, of "assisting in the care of neglected, neg-lected, vagrant or cruelly-treated children." This so iety is compose 1 of many mothers whose hearts go out In sympathy for I he unfortunate children chil-dren of poor anil neglectful parents, and in the course of their work and ministrations they have been able to rectify ninny wrongs and bring comparative com-parative joy and happiness to children to which these blessings were formerly former-ly unknown. H Is a noble and praiseworthy praise-worthy undertaking and deserves the sympathy and support of meu and women in every walk of life The suffering and hardships endured by children of tender years, portrayed bv Dic-kens in such character as "i ittle Nell." "Oliver Twist" and "David "Da-vid Copperf iehl." have shown that the majority of people have a tender and sympathetic feeling for such neglected neglect-ed waifs which exist In every community. com-munity. The trite and true saying that the children of today are the men and women of the future, has a world of wisdom in It and Is meeting with more consideration as the world pro-giesFes pro-giesFes in knowledge and wisdom an 1 human sympathies become enlisted in the efforts to elevate mankind to a higher plane, as evidenced by 'he many fraternal and benevolent soel-1 eties and organizations which exist at the present time, and which are constantly con-stantly springing up on all sides.
