Show MIND IS BLANK FOR YEARS, j Kansas Farmer Returns Home After j Being Long Mourned as Dead. I Eudora, Khii., July 13. Henry Wbu-I ley, once a farmer near Eudora, returned re-turned home after being mourned as dead for fifteen years. Per thirteen of these years his mind has been a blank. He des not lemcmbcr who or where he was. For the l3st two years he had drifted from one county coun-ty poorho'ise to another. A few days ago, while being cared for at the expense of Wallace county, coun-ty, Kan., he called the name cf his cousin, George Whaley of Eudora. George Whaley brought him home today. to-day. Henry Whaley is r.T years old. He left Eudora thirty years ago and went ! west to seek his fortune. Fifteen i years ago the last letter came from iilm to his sister, Mrs. Satan Pcnry. now of Lancaster, Me. He was then working in a Washington logging camp, but wrote that he intended sailing sail-ing soon for South America, giving the I name of the ship. The sister read later lat-er of the wreck of the ship and the Iosh of all on board. Whaley cannot remember h-m to whether he ever sailed for South America. Am-erica. He remembers being married once, but separating from his wife. So far is he know, he never ' married j again. Deep scars on Whaley 'a head lead to the theory that he may have i been slugged and robbed.
