Show OGDEN MEN DID WELL AT SHOOT The firet real work of thr fifth au-nual au-nual tonrnamtut of the Utali-Idaho state shooting assorlntion was done yesterday at the traps south of the city. The RhootlnR wan considered good, notwithstanding the fact taat the wind blew heavily and handicapped handi-capped the marksmen. The contests of the day wore interesting inter-esting and exciting. The men were nt the guns all day, starting early In the morning and finishing late in the afternoon. The Confar medal was won by G. L. Becker of Ogden after a hnrd-fojRht hnrd-fojRht battle with M. Skcen cf Ogden and Dennis Holahan of Twin Falls. Idaho. These men tied In tho first shoot with 25 straight rocks. In the 8hot-off for the tie, Becker and Skcen tied again with 25 straight, and in tbr, third trial Becker won In a score oi 24 to Skeen'B 22 out of a jiossibie lt. The ConfaiT .medal was won by 0. Ram Browning of Ogden iu a score of 49 out of a possible 50. Dennis Caiahan of Twin Falls, Idaho, Ida-ho, captured the Browning diamond medal with a score of 25 straight. Mr. Caiahan also won first place In the professional class, making a score of 210 rocks out of a possible 25.1. Utah men, however, were close seconds to him. In the amatcnr class, G. 1 Becker led for the day with a score of Ml out or a possible 250. with A. P. Bign-low Bign-low a close second with a score of 240.
