Show LOCKJAW IS SERIOUS CASE One of the first cases of lockjaw In Ogden in many years Is that of Fred Clark, a 17-year-old boy residing on Pingree avenue, Several days ago the young man Injured his hand and Dr. Robinson was called, lie Injected 5,000 units of anti-toxin tetanus serum. Yesterday morning the boy's Jaw was tightly set and the muscles of the neck stiffened. Dr Rich was called in consultation and 15,000 more units of the serum were injected, making a total of 20,-000 20,-000 units. Late this afternoon tho young man was reported to be In a serious con- ! ditlon and little or no hope is held ' out for his recovery. The injury, which appeared at first to be of little consequence, was caused caus-ed by the explosion of a blank cartridge cart-ridge which young Clark was placing in u revolver.
