Show GOVERN1MENT REPORTS ARE SLOW. Government reports are notoriously not up to date. Often it is a couple of years after the facts have been gathered before a report reaches the public. The new disease infant paralysis is now appearing appear-ing in all parts of the country, and we need exact data on the subject, sub-ject, but tho statisticians are too slow to keep up with its progress. The educational bureau reports have always been far behind the times so far that much of the information, collected at such great expense, becomes worthless by the time it is published. One of two things should be done: Either such reports should be based on fresh and up-to-date facts and issued promptly, or they should be discontinued discon-tinued and the money saved for something worth while. . |
