Show AT MRS. THAANUM'S A large number of the ladles of the Congregational church and their f."nds were delightfully entertained yesterday afternoon at tho home ot Mrs. Andrew Thaaoum. Among tho tpeclally enjoyable features of the afternoon aft-ernoon was tbo musical prcgram, Mrs. P.ruokshire and Mrs. Thaanum rendering render-ing a number of solos. Miss Louise Pierce accompnn lag and also playing play-ing a Dumber of well selected piano solOii and the rendition of old time songs by Mrs. E. W. Newcomb and her mother, Mrs. L. P. Cutting. The rooms were pretdlv decorated with white and nurple lilacs, luncheon was served in the dining room, Miss Allie Gunnell and Miss Dana Kelly assisting. Mrs. Thaanum's lawn was nicely arranged for the entertainment of tho young people at an evening lawn party, Japanese lanterns and cosy seats being effectively placed, but the lain compelled the young people to seok the shelter of the comfortable parlors wbTc an enJoablc evening was spentanies. social chat and tbo beautiful musical selections rendered rend-ered b-si Miss Rosalie Hlberg and Mr. Bert White receiving the usual warm appreciation of Ihoir hearers. Tho piano solos by Mifs Ixuilse Pierce wore also well received. Following the serving of refnm0"1 the gay visitors dispersed In pleasant anticipation anti-cipation of being again bidden to tne home of Mrs. Thaanum. |
