Show I EMPLOYES MEET I 0. S. L. OFFICIALS A Joint committee representing the j blacksmiths and helpers employed on ' the Oregon Short I.lue met. with Gen- eral Manager W. H. Bancroft and J. F. , Dunn, superintendent of motive pow-er. pow-er. The object of the men's mission here Is to bring about an increase of wages for blacksmith and helpers on tho Oregon Short Lino. The committeemen commit-teemen are R. E. Fowler, Sparks; If. Spracher and A. H. Martin. Pocatello. ! and John Parry and Ed Perkins of Ogden. Og-den. They are accompanied by V J. Kvans, vice president of the International Interna-tional Brotherhood of Rlacksmlths and Helpers, who makes his headquarters at Butte. Mr. Rvans says he has every reason to believe that an understanding will be reached. The Rio Grande has already al-ready adopted a revised scale for its blacksmiths and helpers and the Oregon Ore-gon Short Line and Southern Pacific Is expected to do likewise. Mr. Evans says everything looks favorable to an agreement. j i |
