Show FIELDING IS SENT TO PRISON RECALLS HIS PECULIAR CONDUCT WHILE IN IDAHO. He Will Serve From One to Fourteen Years in the Washington State Penitentiary for Forgery. Sheriff Wilson was advised this morning that W. F. Tielding, who was recently taken from Ogden to Suat-tle, Suat-tle, to answer a charge of obtaining money under false' pretenses and forgery, forg-ery, had pleaded guilty in the metropolis me-tropolis of Washington and had beer, glvtig a ranging sentence of from one to fourteen years in the penitentiary. It will be remembered that Fielding Field-ing had a somewhat brilliant criminal record in Ogden. having secured ;i plethoric wad of currency from one of the local banks, under false pretenses, pre-tenses, and using tho money on a roso-tlnted honeymoon trip with a bride whom he captured In this city. Ho was arrested while traveling in California with his young wife and brought backt to Ogden, where It developed de-veloped that he had a wile and child Hung in Salt Lake City. His bride of a few weeks had tho marriage annulled an-nulled and Fielding's mother settled his crooked transaction with the bank and prosecution for the crime, was dropped. At this point, howecr.Sher-Iff howecr.Sher-Iff Wilson rearrested Fielding lor a forgery charge in Seattle and he was Ipken there and formally sentenced to the penitentiary last Tuesday morning. |
