Show MRS. R. R. GRANT IS CALLED HOME. Salt Lake, Jan. 27. Mrs. Raohael R. Grant, affectionately known throughout the church as "Grandma Grant," passed awa at the residence of her granddaughter. Mrs. George J. Cannon, 980 First avenue, at 1:10 o'clock this-morning. this-morning. Death followed an attack of pneumonia. Mrs. Grant was identified with the church since the old Nauvoo days and through all the trials and tribulations of pioneer life sho preserved the sunny disposition which endeared her to all with whom she came in contact Prior to her marriage to Jedediah Morgon Grant, second counsellor to President Presi-dent Brlgham Young, November, 1855, Mrs. Grant had been In Utah two years. Her maiden name was Rachael Ridgway. and 9he was the sixth child and third daughter of Caleb Ivans, whoso grandmother waB a Shreve, a family whoso , members have figured conspicuously in the history of New Jersey. |
