Show OFFICIALS OF THE GLOBE EXPRESS ARE HERE LOOKING OVER THEIR NEW FIELD. Pacific Express Is Expected to Give Way to the Gould Company on All the Gould Roads. General" Manager I). D. Allou of the Globe Express company were in the city today looking over the field generally In express matters in which they aro to become Interested in the futurp. Tho Globe la comparatively a new express company, organized presumably pre-sumably to take over all express business busi-ness on the Gould system of railroads, including the Denver & Rio Grande and Western Pacific lines. At pres- ent the Wolls-Fargo company enjoys a monopoly of that traffic over the western Gould roads, but the transfer of the business to the Globe will probably prob-ably occur as soon as tho present Wells-Fargo company contract expires. It is assumed generally, b' those familiar fa-miliar with the purposes of the new express company, that tho Globe corporation cor-poration is composed of stockholders and officials of the Gould roads. |
