FIVE PRISONERS ARE SENT TO PENITENTIARY Judge Howell Is recuperating rrom tne effects of his recent Illness ana today held a regular session of district court. After sentencing several prisoners, pris-oners, his honor took up the civil action ac-tion of the Hooper Irrigation company against Melvln Atwood et al. The first business in court was a formal reception of self-confessed crooks who were banded out Justice In various doses. John Martin and Ueoree Fitzgerald were ghen three-year terms In the penitentiary; Fances Joseph escaped es-caped with a two-year sentence in the same institution and Felix Weaver was let down with a 6ix months' sentence in the Salt Lake penal institution. Directly after sentences were imposed im-posed Sheriff Wilson and Deputies Hutching and Naylin escorted the criminals crim-inals to the dpot and started for Salt Lake City.
