Salt Lake, March 8- Business men in thl city interested in tho Nephl Plaster and Manufacturing company, located at Nephl, havo been notified of the burning of the factory' early Sunday morning. The loss Is estimated esti-mated at 30,000, with Insurance of about that amount. How the flro started is not known. Thomas Bale, who lives two blocks distant from the factory, was awakened awaken-ed at 3 o'clock Sunday morning by an unusual noise, and .looking from his bedroom window saw tho factory entirely en-tirely enveloped In flames. He dressod and went for help, but,1 although an attempt was made to save some of the property in the factor', the flames had too much start, and the Intense heat drove people away. The factory proved good food for the fire, and in a few hours it was burned to tho ground. Among business men living in this city who are owner In the factory are L. S. Hills, president of the Deseret National bank; Dr. William Bllerbeck, H. S. Young, J. E. Clinton, Walter S. Flier and the Deseret National bank. J. A. Hyde of Nephl was the manager. |
