Show ADDRESS OF APPRECIATION FOR FOUNDING Y. M. C. A. St. Petersburg, March 7. Premier Slolypln, M. KohmiulcoiT, president of the Duma and other prominent government gov-ernment officials, have signed an address, ad-dress, to Anson Phelps Stokes, of New York, in appreciation of his aid in founding the Russian Young Men's Christian Association. . The address was presented to John R. Mott, general gener-al secretary of the world's student Christian Federation of New York, at the annual meeting of the association today by a deputation led by Countess Spuvaloff. Mr. Mott read a sp6cial message to the young men of Russia from former President Roosevelt. Emperor Nicholas, Nich-olas, the empress and other members of the royal family are taking a lively Interest in the association. The emperor em-peror has contrlbuetd liberally and Grand Duke Michael Alexandrovich has given $1,500. The emperor has Issued a special order that the apparatus for the new gymnasium ho entered free of duty. |
