Show foun r DFAD Thought to Have Been Shot in an Attempted Hold-up Chicago, March 8. Hugh Hopkins, son of J. J. Hopkins, superintendent of stations of the South Side Elevated railroad, was found Blaln early today in a doorway at 3703 Wcntworth avenue, ave-nue, after John Lattera, a bartender, had reported to the pollen by telephone tele-phone that he had exchangel shots with a hold-up man in a south tide saloon. Lattera is detained by the authorities, authori-ties, pending an Investigation of his story. He says that Hopkins pounded pound-ed on the door of the saloon after closing bourn, and when the floors was opened, drew a revolver and fired. Lattera returned the flro and Hopkins fled. His body was found a tlncit from the sceno of the shooting. |
