Show COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HEAR A LIQUOR C SE Rrigham City, Jan. 29. The county commissioners today heard the caso of Dr, R J. Smith et al., against A. M. Brown of Colllnaton, the latter being be-ing charged with selling liquor at his l!ace of business in Colllnston and permitting per-mitting gambling In hla place. Mr. Brown conducts a large, liquor store in his home town, while tbe plaintiff own a drug store. A number of witnesses were called and testified that Brown sold liquor on Sunday and alun permitted gambling gamb-ling in his place of business. Several Sev-eral minors gave testimony to having rought liquor of Mr. Brown At the conclusion of the case the commissioners commis-sioners announced that they would take Ihe matter under advisement. On tho trip from Brlgham to Collins-ton, Collins-ton, after the hearing, Brown assaulted Mr. Smith, giving the latter a black eye and otherwise bruising his lace. Charges have been preferred by Smith, ami Brown will be arraigned upon thq charge of assault at. a later date. |
