Show KEC OF BEER WAS REPEATEDLY STOLEN An eight-gallon keg of beer had a varied experience, Friday night, having hav-ing been bought, stolen, re-stolen and finally recovered by the police, all In the space of a few hours. A Mr. Nellson, from West Weber, with a companion, purchased the keg of beer, but before leaving for home with their treasure, they hitched in front of Fred J. Klesel's establishment and betook themselves elsewhere upon business. During thefr absence the keg. It le stated, was taken from the wagon and carried to a livery stable and opened, the thieveB partaking plentifully of Its contents. It seems that the new possessors of the keg were momentarily called away from their libations, when the beer was again stolen and taken to a room on Twenty-second street. The police worp appealed to and Officer Vance succeeded in locating the keg and a portion of its contents In the room. Tho matter may be brought up In Monday's police court, although there Is a possibility of the parties to the affair af-fair settling the aftialr out of court. |
