Show PIONEER WOMAN OF CITY COMPLIMENTED I In honor of one of the early pio-neers pio-neers of Utah, Mrs. J. M Thomas, a I party was given at the home of her grandson. W. Earl Read. Saturday evening, December 3, in colebratlon of j Mrs Thomas' seventy-sixth birthday anniversary. Mrs. Thomas came from England .when She w as eight years old. and, I crossed the Atlantic In a sailing ve.-ael. ! j which was eight weeks at sea. After' remaining In Philadelphia for rive years, she left with her father and mother, Mr, and Mrs. Thomas Holroyd for the west. She walked the entire i distance across the plains to L'tali and I has lived in Ogden since. I Mrs. Thomas was presented with a beautiful winter coat by her children. . Music and games were enjoyed.
