Holman, predatory animal Inspector Inspect-or for the United States biological survey, sur-vey, in his annual report. T am convinced that fully one-half and possibly threo-fourthB of stuff bountied in Utah for the pat few years, was brought from other states, or, in some ases. the stuff was bountled more than once." In commenting on 'this statement, Mr. Tuttle said yesterday. "I feel that It Is onl Just to the various county elerks throughout the state that I refute this statement When I assumed office I am certain there were a number of persons procuring pro-curing bounty on animals killed along the border, and no doubt, some of them were killed In neighboring states An active, campaign was startnrl by this office, and tho county clerks r o-operated o-operated fully in that campaign By tho time that boutfty payments were discontinued on account of lack of funds January 3, I am certain that the evil of presenting for bounty animals killed outside the state had been practically prac-tically eliminated. |
