HEADQUARTERS SAN FRANCISCO, June IS The first special train to tho Democratic national convention, opening Juno 2S, from an eastern point,, arrived from Chicago today bearing James G. Preston Pres-ton and William Donaldson, superintendents superin-tendents of the senate' and house press galleries, respectively, and eighty working newspapermen. It was known as tho "press gallery special." Preston and Donaldson, who havo charge of the newspaper seating arrangements, ar-rangements, went to the auditorium and inspected preparations being made there. The first meeting o the sub-committee on arrangements of tho national na-tional Democratic committee is scheduled sched-uled for late today. The meeting Is to consider seating arrangements primarily. pri-marily. Announcement that Bernard Bar-uch Bar-uch and TJi'omas L. Chadbornc, who were to - maintain headquarters here, to promote the candidacy of "William G.
