Show GOVERNOR'S M AT FUUSSELL Bamberger and Staff and Idaho Ida-ho Officer to Review Quards at Encampment FORT D. A. RUSSELL, Wyo., June IS. Preparations have been completed com-pleted for"Govornor's Day," the feature fea-ture evont of the national guard cn-jcampment cn-jcampment which will open thlo morn-ling morn-ling with the arrival from Utah of Governor Gov-ernor Simon Bamberger and members of his staff, toegther with officials of Idaho and Wyoming. Troop A of the Utah unit will mount 'guard this afternoon for tho visiting governor and tho entire squadron will pa3s in review under the command of Maj. W. W. Gordon, inspector for the Utah and Idaho guards. Work on tho ritlc range started yesterday. yes-terday. The regular prescribed army 'course will be flrod by all toopors. Mounted work and specially conducted conduct-ed dismounted drills aro the order for the forenoon with formal guard mount each afternoon. The program for next week will center on squadron ceremonies. Mounts have boon obtained from the Fifteenth regular cavalry outfit so that all mounted formations may be conducted. Capt. and Mrs. Duncan Richart, formerly for-merly of Salt Lake, will entertain tonight to-night for the visiting officers. A military mil-itary danco will be given, at which Governor Bamberger, ills stuff and the national guard officers will be guests of honor. A scare was thrown into the ranks yesterday when a smallpox cxisc was reported from an Idaho troop. Prompt vaccination of all who might becomo infected was accomplished and the remainder of tho camp was saved the inconvenience of restriction. |
