Show Negro Sentenced to Serve 25 Seconds CHICAGO, April 29. Twenty-five seconds one of tho shortest sentences sen-tences on record in federal courts was imposed on Jessp Nash, colored, charged with tampering with thy mails, by Judge K. M. Landis today. As Nash walked to the court room door, in custody of a deputy marshal, the judge called "Time's up," and the prisoner was released. Nash admitted obtaining possession of lettci's written by his wife to another man. Ho exhibited tho letters let-ters in court, and afCer reading them Judge Landis fixed the penalty. oo |
