Show Palmer to Enforce Strike Board Terms WASHINGTON, Jan. 22. Attorney General Palmer has told officials of tho United Mine Workers that the department de-partment of justice will enforce the terms of President Wilson's proposition proposi-tion for (ho settlement of the recent ! strike and that in oil cases where op-1 op-1 eratos have refused to permit miners to work the government will enforce the Lover law against them. Officials of the mine workers brought to tho attorney general's attention at-tention cases of operators in several states, including Colorado and Washington, Wash-ington, who, they said, refused to permit per-mit miners to resume work, and that most of Uiosq operators were requiring requir-ing their employes to sign an Individual Individ-ual agreement, renouncing the union and and placing themselves not to Join again or promote the organization if they are allowed to return to work. He said that he would Inform the oporators that they must abide by the provisions ot the president's proposition proposi-tion and restore tho status quo of 6c tober 31. Instructions have been given to enforce tho terms of thp president's pres-ident's proposition, even to the extent of instituting prosecutions. |
