Resolutions commending the action of the federal government in arresting and deporting undesirable aliens and pledging the 'association in support of this work land declaring in favor of a league of nations and a peace treaty that will 'uphold the American constitution were passed at the final session of the fifty-fifth fifty-fifth annual convention of the Nation-. Nation-. al Woolgrowers' association hero, j At the election of officers, Frank J. iHagcnbarth of Salt Lake City, and Idaho, was re-elected president; M. J. Powers, Flagstaff, Ariz., western vice president, and Dr. F. R. Marshall, of Washington, D. C, assistant animal husbandman, secretary, to succeed Dr. S. W. McClure, resigned. Would Oppose Grazing Areas. Other important resolutions passed by the convention oppose creation of parks or game preserves at the expense ex-pense of grazing areas; urge congress to appropriate funds requested fcr-the work of the United States sheep- experiment ex-periment station; petition the legislature legisla-ture to bar all aliens from piblic domain; do-main; request additional funds for improving im-proving range conditions in the national na-tional forests: asks the forest service to provide spring range for cattle that will not trespass upon the sheep ranges; asks for compensation for men if the forest service's fund is insufficient insuffi-cient to secure competent men; protests pro-tests against agitation against the packers and the enactment of the so-called so-called "K and K bills"; protests against the "dumping" of foreign wools into Ihe American market, jurgns passage of legislation requiring j manufacturers of woolen cloth to mark I the per cent of virgin wool, and con-Jdemus con-Jdemus the policy of contracting wool I in advance of shearing and favors sale ' by consignment and on commission. Executive Committee Appointed. Appointment of the following men to places on the, executive committee of the association was made at the final session: California, F. A. Ellenwood; Montana. E.
