Show Annual Six-Day Bicycle Race at j Madison Square i: YORK, Nov 30 The annual six-dav bicvele race, which began to I nighi at Madison Square Gaiden, is being contested over a track which' measures nine laps to the mile. For, the past 2U years this event was de- ! cided on n ten lap track This year, however, the management decided to! enlarge the wooden bowl so that the' rides migh' h?ve an opportunity of ob- j tainlng greater speed and also to avoid spills on the turns The point system for sprints will govern the contest this year. These sprints will lake place at reg-Ularly reg-Ularly appointed times each day. The hours set for the sprinting arel 2:30 a. m.. 3:30 p. m. and 9:30 p. m Five spnnis will be decldc-d each : morning and afternoon and twice that . number every night. Fnder the point' system (he leading team in such '-print will be credited with six points, the1 second with five and one point less' for those finishing in order down to I sixth place for which one point will be scored. Twelve points will be tallied b the! winners of each sprint next Saturday afternoon and this tally will be in-1 creased to seventy two points for the winners of each of the sprints during the closing hours of the race Satur da nigbt. In addition to the cash prizes fort I x 1 the winning and placed teams at the finish of the event, $500 will be awarded each day to the sprint xvin-bers. xvin-bers.
