Show Rail Administration Makes New Ruling SALT LAKE, August 1. Establishment Establish-ment of new minimum weights for carload car-load shipments of coa! and coke have been announced by the United States railroad administration in a communication communi-cation received yesterday by the public utilities Commission of ULih. In his letter, Max Thelen. director of public service, says the new minimum weights will apply only to a limited number of cases, as most of the minima mini-ma now existing are higher, and therefore there-fore will not be disturbed. On coke shipments the minimum weight for carload shipments in open cars will be 50,000 pounds, except that when cars -are loaded to their full visible vis-ible or cubical capacity actual weight shall apply. In closed or box pars, the minimum weight set is 40,000 pounds. i The minimum weigh! on coal in open 'ears is placed at 9() per cent of the marked capacity ot" ht tar h'-n the cubical capacity of the car is such that it will not hold mcb a weight, charge shall be made on actual weight. Following are the minimum weights established for coal in box or stock icars.
