Show IMPROVEMENT NOTED IN CROP CONDITIONS Additional showers, generally light, have fallen in south rn counties, and! conditions as to crops, ranges, stock and water supply are showing iui- j provement in these counties, accord- I ing to J. Cecil Alter, meteorologist. In the northern hall of ihc state, however, and the adjoining portion of Nevada, Idaho, and Wyoming, hiph temperatures tempera-tures and drought conditions have con tinued, relieved by only very lighl scattered showers, further restrictions on the us of water have become necessary, and ranges are badly dried up and will necessitate the shipping of much stock to other range?. Irrigated barley, oats and sprint; wheat arc maturing well, The harvest ing of oats and the second crop of alfalfa is burring well in Millard county, coun-ty, ten days earlier than last season. Fruit has made excellent progress and is further advanced than usual at this time Corn, potatoes and tomatoes are making fair to good growth. |
