Show Old Officers and Board Renominated CHICAGO. Nov. 8. With the exception excep-tion of T. B. Boyd of St. Louis, .ico president, the present officers and board of directors of tho WcsternlGolf association have been nominated for re-election, it was announced tonight by Carl W. German of Bluo Hills Country club, Kansas City, Mo., for James H. Bernard, nominated to sue- , ceed Mr. Boyd. James H. Bernard of Glenvlew Country Coun-try club, Chicago, "was nominated to succeed Mr. Boyd, who declined to accept ac-cept the office again because of his connection with a government bureau. The election is said to bo held at the annual meeting here in January. The ticket Is headed by Prosident Charles F. Thompson of Flossmoor Country club, Chicago. Four clubs have filed application for the western amateur championship tournament. They aro the Blue Hills Country club of Kansas City, Mo.; the Country club of Detroit, Inverness Country club of Toledo, and tho Town and Country club of St. Paul, Minn. No applications have been received for the open championship. The name of James H. Bernard of the Glenvlew Country club was added to the board of directors. |
