Show DR. J. i IWORRELL IS NEW BS BF THE DRAFT BHD Dr. Joseph R. Morrell was elected chairman of the Ogden City e.xemp--tion board at the meeting held Saturday, Satur-day, for the purpose of reorganizing I the board. A. Jl. Heywood, former chairman, was urged by Dr. Morrell I to aceppt the position because of his I experience and familiarity with the affairs af-fairs of the board, but Mr. Heywood declined in favor of Dr. Morrell. On nomination of T. S. Browning, Dr. Morrcll was voted to the nqsjtjon. The meeting was attended by a full membership, Including Mr. Heywood. Secretary Walter Richey6 T Samuel Browning, Dr. J. R. Morrell and John Spargo. The three new members were appointed by President Wilson on recommendation of Gov. Simon Bamberger. Bam-berger. Walter Richey was unanimously unani-mously voted secretary. Fireworks were expected at this reorganization re-organization meeiing, but harmony prevailed. This morning the board again met and the new members made a scrutiny of the business with a view to familiarizing themselves completely with the work. |
