Show LIBERTY LOAN Til WILL HIVE 01 THURSDAY The special Liberty loan train coming com-ing to Ogden on Thursday over the Union Pacific will carry several notables, not-ables, among them men who have seen active service on the battlefronts in France. Included in the party will bo L. T. Stephens, a British officer who has been at the front for three years; Sergeant Ser-geant Himes of the American army who was severely vwounded in action; Dr. Lowe, who was with the Y. M. C. A. working In front line trenches for some time; Hon. W. F. Gurley,; former Senator Norris Brown who has just returned re-turned from Europe; Frank Gamer and W. A. Grazier. The train will nrrive in Ogden, if it runs according to schedule, at 7 a. m. No plans have been made for a meeting here but the Southern Pacific band will meet the train. The trip of this party is being made to stimulate Liberty bond buying. Superintendent N. A. Williams at Green River reports that the western division of the road subscribed for $22,500 worth of bonds Saturday, bringing its total to $174,850. |
