Show New International Will Be Formed of Eight Ball Clubs NEW YORK, March 31. The new International league which was born ' last week after the vote to suspend operations by the rlub owners of the old organization will assume definite,, form next Wednesday. At that time a) meeting of the four-club owners who have been granted franchises in the new circuit will be held at the Inter- , national leagije offices here. At present there seems to be plenty 1 of material for an eight-club orgsml- I zatlon which will include the three 1 clubs of ihe International league, Bal- timer, Toronto and Rochester, the nucleus of the defunct New York State league, and Jersey City. Dp to dale there have been six applications ap-plications for membership received The rejuvenation of the league is being be-ing hailed with delight by the baseball base-ball world. The debts of the old International In-ternational league will be paid, as well as tbe back salaries due players of the old Buffalo team, according to an announcement made at the club's headquarters here today. The league will go out of existence with no financial obligations which have not been met. Whatever funds may be left in the treasury' after settling set-tling up the accounts of the old circuit, cir-cuit, i' Is understood, will be divided between the Providence, Montreal and Richmond clubs, which will not become be-come members of the new league. |
