Show FINAL SERVICE HELD IN ST. PAUL'S CHURCH SALT LAKE. April 1 Deconsecration Deconsecra-tion services marked the passing of Easter Sunday at St. Paul's Episcopal church last night. Special prayers were uaid, prepared for the occasion by Bishop Daniel S. Tuttle, under whose direction St. Paul's was built. Both the morning and evening services serv-ices were largely attended, the attendance attend-ance at the morning service testinc the capacity of the historic edifice as r.' ver before. The farewell to the old structure was impressive, and man j eyes were dimmed with tears as the final words abandoning the structure, which all had learned to love, were spoken. Seventy of the members of the Utah commandery. Knights Templar, attend- il ed the morning service m a body, marching into the church promptly at I 11 o'clock. The musical program was of unusual excellence. One of the most H impressive numbers was the selection fl on the harp by Mrs. M. B. Boothby. Solos were sung by Miss Gladys Fish er, Miss Rose Howard, Miss Minnie Miller and H. M. Barratt. Miss Ruth Bellemere presided at the organ. |
