Show BILLS OF THE I. W, W. DISTRIBUTED SALT LAKE, Sept. 12 The coming of dawn yesterday morning developed the fact that during the night, mysterious mys-terious agents of the International Workers of the World had distributed thousands of annoymous handbills throughout the west side, calling upon wage workers to prove their "solidarity" "solidar-ity" and come to the rescue of their j "fellow workmen," Thomas Mooneyi and others, waiting disposition of the law In various jails of the country. The handbills are signed "The Committee Com-mittee of Workers." They reflect Illiteracy Il-literacy on the part of the composers, were undoubtedly hastily printed, and attempt to fix the responsibility forj the position of Mooney, now waiting pvprnli'nn in PnlSfornln in rrnnrrHrm with the San Francisco preparedness parade bomb outrage In 1916, on organized or-ganized labor. The handbills bear all the earmarks of having originated among the I. W. W. leaders and agitators, agita-tors, and there Is nothing in the construction con-struction or contents to connect the propaganda with organized labor. It is the opinion of the police and of the federal officials who havo the matter under investigation, that the making and distribution of the handbills hand-bills was the work of local agents of the I. W. W. who thus far have succeeded suc-ceeded in escaping the vigilance of the authorities. A largo number of the same handbills hand-bills was distributed among the mines at Bingham also during, the night. A careful watch is being kept on all suspicious sus-picious characters. |
