Johnson' has received a letter of thanks from the parents of John Freeman, who was! convicted of counterfeiting and sen-1 tenced to one year In the Lea en-worth en-worth prison, following his arrest, together with his brother and the lat-ter'a lat-ter'a young v.ife, by the Ogden police on February s Mrs Freeman and her husband were acquitted. Dear Sir Will you please accept ac-cept the sincere thanks and appreciation ap-preciation extended to you from the father and mother of the Freeman Free-man brothers for the noble way in which you dealt with the young ad foolish culprits The clemency extended them by your honor was a happy surprise to us also to all of our friends. The sentence John received will be a very valuable lesson to him in the future and had he been gien a many years' sentence bis future would have been blighted for all lime. You have been lenient in the extreme. |
