The chief immediately dispatched Patrolman Patrol-man John Hutehins to the place designated. desig-nated. Forcing the door to room 12. upon his arrival, Officer Hulrhins found J. H. Clemence lying upon a bed with a butcher-knife in his outstretched out-stretched hand. The man was completely under the influence of liquor and was taken to the police station. No charge as yel has been placed against him. According to the local morning paper, pa-per, Clemence cut his throat and was weak from the loss of blood when the officers found him If such was the case, his condition underwent a miraculous change during dur-ing the night, as this morning there was not even the semblance of a '-nitch in the icinity of his throat and he was very anxious to get back to his work as a railroad laborer |
