The nature of the proposed changes or amendments is as follows: 1. To amend Article Five, relating to the objects lor which this Cor- is formed, by increasing the objects and powers of this Corporation in the following general particulars: H To permit this Corporation to carry on a general c.tttle, livestock, agricultural agricul-tural and meat packing business in all branches of taid respective trades or businesses; to permit this Corpora-tion Corpora-tion to manufacture and deal in ice; to preserve in cold storage and operate cold storage warehouses; to manufao-ture, manufao-ture, prepare, sell, import and export j food and food products of every class j and description; to manufacture, pre- 1 ' pare and deal in all receptacles and I ; packages for products handled by this Corporation; to maintain and operate COld storage and refrigerating plants; ! 1 and do a general warehouse and stor-age stor-age business, and to issue warehouse H receipts; to own, lease and operate re- H frigerator cars and steam, sailing and other vessels; to obtain and turn to H account patents, trade marks and trade nnmes, and the like; to purchase and hold its own capital stock; to lend and advance money and give credit to per- sons and corporations having dealings with the Company; to acquire stock, bonds or obligations of Corporations formed for or engaged in any similar kind of business in which this Corporation is en- gaged; to guarantee payments of dlvi- ! dtnds or interest on obligations of : such corporations; to aid in any man- ner any Corporation whoso stocks, bonds, or other obligations are held, or in any manner guaranteed by this !
