Here is a brief biographical sketch of the old warhorse of Democracy: Born in Ithaca, New York, in 1832, he Is 84 years of age. He came to Utah when 22 years old and settled in Centerville. In 1862, he moved to Morgan county and engaged in farming. farm-ing. Then he served as school trustee, trus-tee, county superintendent of schools and justice of the peace, and for two terms was assessor and collector of taxes. He was one of the founders of Z. C. M.
