Show SCHEDULE OF GAMES WILL BE IMBED THIS WEEK A meeting was called for the purpose pur-pose of arranging a schedule, and making rules for the City League teams, at Browning Bros, last evening. The schedule was left with the managers mana-gers of the different teams, who know the nights on which their teams n play. This schedule will be arranged sometime this week. Coach Ray Shlrey of tho Ogden High school was chose n president nt the new leagues, while Earl Pingree will hold the secretary's postion. After the eleetion of the iff-cers iff-cers a set of rules were drawn up. Some of the most important ule were as follows: 1 Before the opening of the leaguo each manager must hand in a list cf players. 2 If one player is dropped from one team he will not be eligible to join another. The holds that have ' been offered the new leagues for use are: Ogden High school, Weber -cad-emy, Pingree Gymn, and the ward halls In the junior league rhe players must be under eighteen years of age. j The ruling of this league is the same I as the senior league. One week after 1 the schedule is made a full list of play, ers must be handed in from each manager man-ager There will be two games a week and each team will play each other two times during the season. I : Tho junior league is the largest with j ten teams, while the senior league has 1 eight. A total of twenty and sixteen games will be played by the leagues and the winner will be the team that has the highest percentage at the end of the season. President Shlrey an ! nounced that Browning Bros would I give a silver trophy to the winners of each league, and the men that I make the all stars teams will receive a j medal. The schedule will be arranged so; as tho first game will be called not ' later than January 15th. A heated discussion arose as to whether admission admis-sion would be charged at the game3. this affair w ill be left to the managers "f the teams. Another point that vva3 looked at with favor was the winning jteani of the Ogden Senior league, io j play the minner of the Salt Lake senior league. A game between 'he, two winners would be popular in Salt, Lake and in Ogden. A series of three games for the state championship is approved by the I Standard. rr |
