Show RABID COYOTE'S HEAD SENT TO PATHOLOGIST Salt Lake, Nov. 21. The head of a rabid coyote that ran amuck at Grant station, Tooele county, Sunday night, ! biting sx dogs and causing a reign of terror among the women and children of the place until a well-aimed shot ended Its career, was sent yesterday io u. li. jjaines, pauioiogist for the state health department, for examination. examina-tion. The coyote made its appearance in Grant station in the late afternoon and proceeded lo attack all the dogs in sight. In a short time it had bitten six of the dogs and sent them howling howl-ing to their homes. The actions of the coyote and the dogs threw the women and children, into a panic of excitement which prevailed pre-vailed until C. B. Smith, chemist at the plant of the Salt Lake Chemical company, shot tho coyote. The animal's ani-mal's head was removed and yesterday yester-day was forwarded to the state pathologist. |
