Show WILL VOTE INDIANA DRY. Hamond, Ind., Nov. 20. Indiana Democratic leaders ousted from power pow-er at the last election are making plans to punish Indiana Germans for defeating them by voting Indiana dry. The cities of Hammond, Fort Wayne, Indianajolls and Evansvllle, normally strongly Democratic and intensely German, reversed themselves November Novem-ber 7 and gave Republican majorities generously enough to carry the state for Hughes, elect two Republican United States senators, a Republican state legislature and all the Republican Republi-can state candidates. One hundred and fifty Democratic politicians have now lined up with V. J. Bryan, it was announced today, and have pledged themsolves to implacable im-placable war on liquor. nn |
