Tomorrow afternoon at 2; 30 o'clock the Daughters of the Pioneers, Company Com-pany M, will give a social at the home of Mrs. James Pingree, Twenty-sixth Twenty-sixth street and Jefferson avenue. Refreshments Re-freshments will be served and a program pro-gram rendered. A small fee charged will be used towards the Pioneer Monument Fund." G. A. R. LADIES ENTERTAINED. Mrs. Grace Bartlett was hostess yesterday yes-terday to Lincoln Circle No. 2, Ladies of the G. A. R., at her pretty home, 2841 Grant avenue. A delightful afternoon aft-ernoon was spent in sewing and planning plan-ning the future work of the organization organiza-tion and a happy social hour followed during which Mrs. Bartlett assisted by her sister-in-law, Mrs. J. M. Russell, Rus-sell, and three young nieces, Norma Jones and Hazel and Florence James, served a delicious buffet luncheon. The circle members present were: Mesdames W. L. Russell, W. A. James, R. A. Wells, 3. A. Littlefiold, W. W. Crossman, C. W. Hadley, Q. R. Craft, Boyd Chandler, G. F. Hodge and Miss Ella B. Chandler, Mrs. Gertrude Carr and Mrs. Robins. Guests of the circle were Mrs. J. M. Russoll and Miss Helen Bartlett. TROUSSEAU TEA. Preceding the wedding of Miss Hazel Wight and Aaron Pingree last Wednesday, November 8, a prettily appointed trousseau tea was given at the home of the bride-to-be, 2821 Hud-sou Hud-sou avonue. Mrs. J. Y. Jensen, mother moth-er of Miss Wight, now Mrs. Pingree, presided as hostess and was assisted In entertaining and serving by the Mesdames J. R. Calvert and Albert Davis. Betwoen the hours of 3 and 9 , o'clock, seventy friends of the bride-to-be arrived at the home and were most pleasantly entertained. The decorative scheme was prettily carried out in pink and white with chrysanthemums and roses and streamers of pink crepe paper attractively attrac-tively arranged. A buffet luncheon was served and the dessert was in pink and white, perfecting the decorative scheme. |
