Show LORENZO M. RICHARDS HONORED By UTAH'S NEW! SENATOR . William I- United States senator-elect, has formally "adopted" Lorenzo M. Richards, the tall young poplar of the Ogden Democracy Democ-racy who was generally conceded to be 100 per cent efficient as secretary of the Democratic campaign committee. commit-tee. The young man will go to Washing- ton city as assistant secretary to the senator. Samuel Russel of Salt Lake, I Mr. King's law partner, will be the I senator's private secretary. Mr. Richards Is a son of C. C. Richards, Rich-ards, a member of the Democratic state committee. He isn't quite old old enough to vote, January 1, 1917, being his debut day, but ranks high as a campaign worker. Senator King said he was a "perfectly good Democrat." He is secretary of the Bon Franklin club, an organization of master printers. print-ers. He attended the Ogden public schools and was graduated from the Weber academy. He was president of the student body and manager of the academy's official paper. He studied one year at the University of Utah. The young man is said to be excellently excel-lently equipped for the position awarded award-ed him by Senator King. All that he lacks Is a thorough knowledge of stenography. ste-nography.
