Wilson arrived at the capitol and summoned administration leaders to his office. fr-"I fr-"I have' just been keeping in touch j&l with things to see that they keep moving, and they are moving," said President Wilson as he left the conference con-ference with congressional leaders. The president's face beamed with a broad smile. Chairman Adamson of the House Interstate Commerce committee said: "We will pass the eight-hour day bill introduced today in the house tomorrow. to-morrow. That will include the provision provi-sion for an investigation of the effect of the eight-hour day on the railroads. That, we believe, will prevent the strike."
