Tho oxhlblts were luoidly oxplalned by tho corps of attendants, experts in their soveral lines, and the demonstrations demonstra-tions wore both Interesting and educational. edu-cational. Many farmers attended tho plowing demonstration conducted by W. W. Calder with a Holt tractor in a field near tho station. The stock judging judg-ing brought out somo fine animals owned by local people, and their good points and wherein they lacked were explained by Professor John T. Calne nT A meeting of women was held in the forenoon in the Central school, at which MiBS Gertrude McCheyno spoke ot tho object of the demonstration and made explanations of tho exhibits, which prepared the women for bettor appreciation when they visited the train. At the ladles' meeting Miss MC Cheyne spoke on "Home Equlpmont," MrH. E. H. Eastmond on "Diet for the Family," and Professor J. S. Powell on "WallB and Wall Finishing." At the men's meeting Ben R. Eld-redge Eld-redge spoke on "Dairying" and Dr. W. E. Taylor on "Sanitary Buildings." A Joint meeting was held in the Central Cen-tral school this evening. .Douglas White spoke on "The Railroad and tho Farm," showing their interdependence interde-pendence and mutual interests; "Poultry Monagemont" was the subject sub-ject of an addresB by Professor Byron Alder, and Professor E. H. Eastmond spoke on "Homo Decorations." The meetings were attended by large and interested audiences. Many vocal and Instrumental selections by Provo musicians added Interest to the meetings. The demonstration train will be at Pleasant Grovo tomorrow. oo |
