Show 1 THEATERS 1 AT THE ALHAMBRA. Hippodrome vaudeville patrons were well pleased with the bill which opened yesterday afternoon at the Alhambra theater. Of much more than ordinary Interest Inter-est is the act presented by Mizpah Solblni and Archie Royer As an entertainer, en-tertainer, the lady cannot well be classified, her talents being widely diversified and expertly perfected. Among other things, she is a juggler acrobat, dancer and equilibrist, some of her somersaulting feats at least having never been paralleled as far as the history of local vaudeville is concerned. Rover's claim of being the champion high kicker of the world could not woll be disputed. Another high class act, one which appeals to the lover of art, is that in uhich May Bennett, the Venetian fountain queen of the Panama-Pacific exposition, is seen. Williams and Watson, a genuinely funny character comedian and an attractive at-tractive foil, are well received in a well written stock act, LaMont brothers are adept exponents expon-ents of the art of triple tapping and have some good comedy dialogue which they put in between the steps. The "hair-pin" dance presented bv the tall member of the duo causes irresistible ir-resistible laughter, Tho matinee audience yesterdav also al-so had a fine treat in the photo-play, "Temptation," featuring Geraldhie Farrar and Theodore Roberts. |
