Berklund and children, accompanied by Miss Maude Stevenson left tho early part of the week to visit relatives In Omaha and Chicago. They expected to be away for several weeks. Miss Lulu L. Cloudman of the local lo-cal forest service bureau, accompanied accompa-nied by her mother, departed today over tho Westorn Pacific for California. Cali-fornia. They expected to visit the San Francisco and San Diego expositions exposi-tions before returning to Ogden. BIRTHDAY PARTY. A prettily arranged lawn party was given Saturday evening, August 14, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ilartinan, in honor of their son, Roy's birthday anniversary. Japanese lanterns lighted the grounds and in the house sweet peas and other flowers of the soason were artistically arranged in the various rooms. A large company enjoyed tho pleasant pleas-ant evening, among the numbor being Miss Jane Williams of Evanston, Wyo.
