Show DRAINAGE OF WEBEB C0UNIY LID MAY BEONDERTAKEN Tomorrow afternoon, L. M. Winsor. United States drainage engineer, will accompany Farm Demonstrator Preston Pres-ton Thomas to the Plain City and Hooper districts, where Mr. Thomas purposes drainage systems. Mr. Thomas states that water is found from ono to three feet below the surface of about 2500 acres of farm lands that will become valuable when properly drained. It is estimated estima-ted that it will cost about S15 an aero, and it is contended that it will enhance the value of the lands $100 an acre or more. It is planned, to have Mr. Winsor make a careful examination of the lands and give his judgment as to the feasibility of tho project An offort will bo mado to determine the average aver-age depth of the water and how far It is from the surface at different points. The question of draining outlet out-let will also be considered. |
