Show I, SALE OF LINCOLN CLUB TOMORROW H1 Lincoln, Neb., Jan. 5. The sale of Hi the Lincoln Western league baseball HI club will be formally completed to- Hl morrow, it was announced late today following a meeting between Hugh L. Jones, the present owner of the club, and four of the five directors of the stock company, formed to purchase the franchise. The agreement was reached to dispose of the club at the option price of 12,500. it was announced. an-nounced. The contract for tho sale will be signed tomorrow by Mr. Jones and the directors. Jones will own ton shares of stock in the new company. The capital stock of the new company com-pany is $15,000, tho extra 52500 being raised to provide a financial working basis for the club. One of the principal prin-cipal stockholders is George R. Stone of Coleridge, Neb., a former major league baseball player. William ("Duckev") Holmes, who is also a stockholder, will be the new manager of the Lincoln club. |
