Show FOREST FIRE D0I6 DAMAGE HII SALT LAKE Salt Lake, Aug. 31 Reports by telephone from tho city "farm in Mountain Moun-tain Dell late last night were that tho farm Is surrounded with flameB on three sides. A strong forco is guarding the barns and buildings, which, It is believed, will bo saved, but which are admitted to be in grave danger. Forty men, including a number of deputy shoriffs and a party of special spe-cial employeB of the forest service, left for tho scene at 9 o'clock last night. Reinforced by the mountain winds, the forest fire raging in Mountain Dell and Emigration canyons, thought to be under control Sunday night, has spread over many thousands of acres of timber and brush and is burning more fiercely than before. Hundreds of men under the direction direc-tion of city and county officials and aided by the United States forest service ser-vice rangers, are fighting the ever-extending ever-extending line of flame, and new crews .are being dispatched to their relief as fast as the sheriff and water wa-ter officials can recruit them. Driven back upon Killyon canyon and away from tho homeB of the summer colonists, the fire crossed the ridges to the east and the south threatening the city farm.
