M Hansen and daughter, Anna, have returned from a trip to Mexico and California, their tour bo-lug bo-lug completed with a visit to tho Panama-Faclflc exposition at San Francisco. Mr. land Mrs. Joseph Soowcroft, Mr. and Mrs. I. L. Reynolds and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Q Taylor returned yestorday from the Bear Lako country, coun-try, where they enjoyed a three-day outing at Ideal Beach. BACK FROM COAST. Mrs. R. T. Hllllard has returned to her homo, 573 Twenty-second streot, after a pleasant five weeks' sojourn In California. SURPRISE PARTY. One of the most delightful surprise parties of the past week was given in honor of the Misses Florence Doxey and Jane McDonald at the Doxey home. 3098 Pacific avenue, last Friday evening eve-ning The lawn was decorated with Japanese Jap-anese lanterns which cast a soft glow over merry-making young people. The parlor and dining room were adorned with fresh cut flowers At 11 o'clock refreshments were served by the Misses Verna and Eh a Doxey. Dancing and games were enjoyed en-joyed until a late hour when the guests departed. Those present were: The Misses Florence Doxey.
